  • Is hunter safety training required to participate?
    Yes, all participants will go through a brief hunter safety training on site before the event.
  • Are there age restrictions for participants?
    Yes; participants must be at least 16 years old and must have a parent or legal guardian sign the required legal waiver. If anyone under 16 would like to hunt, please call owner Drew Miller @ (850) 296-6494 to discuss specifics as hunters younger than 16 must be accompanied by an adult who is an experienced hunter.
  • What safety measures are in place during the event?
    Safety is our top priority. Trained guides will accompany each group, and all participants must adhere to strict safety guidelines.

    No; Oak Grove Plantation is a licensed hunting preserve therefore no hunting license is required.
  • Can I bring my own hunting dog?
    If you would like to bring your hunting companion to the event, please contact owner Drew Miller @ (850) 296-6494 to discuss requirements prior to bringing your dog to the hunt which include the following: (1) Your dog must be an experienced hunting companion that obeys all commands, (2) Dog owners must have an electric collar and/or leash on hand in order to control their dog at all times; Oak Grove Plantation reserves the right to ask dog owners to cease participation in the hunt in the event their dog becomes out of control (no refunds will be given in these circumstances); (3) All dog owners will be required to sign a separate waiver in addition to the required hunting waiver.
  • How do I register for the event?

  • Are food or drinks provided?
    A food truck will be available on site to purchase food. Event sponsors will have meals and drinks included in their sponsorship. For sponsorship details, please call or email us directly.

    We've partnered with Lily Pad Adventures for event lodging; please visit the "Local Accommodations" link on our website to view pictures and contact us directly for availability and booking information.
  • Are camping options available?
    Yes, both primitive, cabin, or RV hook ups are available through Lily Pad Adventures.
  • What else can I do in the area besides the hunting event?

    While we encourage early registration, on-site ticket purchases may be available on a limited basis. However, we recommend securing your spot in advance to guarantee participation.
  • What happens in case of inclement weather?
    The event will proceed rain or shine. In the event of severe weather, we will communicate any changes or cancellations promptly via our website and social media channels.
